Designated mountainous regions
-Special rules concerning minimum IFR altitudes exist
-This is to ensure obstacle clearance
-If you are operating within the DMRs and you are outside areas for which minimum altitudes for IFR operation have been established, you must fly:
-At least 2000′ above the highest obstacle within area 1 and 5
-At least 1500′ above the highest obstacle within area 2,3, and 4
